"Everyone deserves the chance to fly!" ~Wicked
A cairn is a stack of rocks used to mark trails. They suggest the path and offer encouragement. My hope is to support and guide your journey toward peace, resolution and improved emotional health. Practicing for over 25 years, I believe therapy is a place to learn, grow and strengthen the self and relationships. My approach is eclectic, drawing from Emotional Focused framework, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and other DBT skills and Relational Therapy. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
When I'm not working, I am living life (the good, the bad, the ugly) with my husband (since college), my two sons (17 and 21) and my senior bulldog. I enjoy running, reading, practicing yoga, listening to music and laughing with friends. Originally from Colorado, I received my Bachelors Degree from Arizona State and my Masters in Clinical Social Work from Tulane University. Prior to being in private practice, I worked in adolescent residential, juvenile justice, community mental health, home-based family services and reunification programs. I have worked with issues relating to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, care-giving and relationships. I love this work and feel humbled by the opportunity to share in the experience of the therapeutic process.
